(The Star) Developer offers rebates for 300 units

The issue of affordable housing is on the rise in Malaysia.

According to Bank Negara Malaysia reports, young Malaysians are finding it harder to afford a house.

To help tackle this issue, property developer UEM Sunrise Bhd is offering rebates and savings on 300 of its houses.

Located in prime areas of Cyberjaya and Iskandar Puteri in Johor Baru, each unit boasts of modern amenities with prices starting from RM293,000.

In conjunction with the company’s 50th anniversary, potential buyers can also look forward to owning their dream homes with a down payment from as low as RM1,000.

Among the units available are homes in Teega Puteri Harbour, Almas Puteri Harbour and Bayu Angkasa in Johor Baru as well as the Verdi Eco-dominiums and Symphony Hills in Cyberjaya.

At a media briefing held at its showroom, UEM Sunrise managing director Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib said the company was committed to making homes more affordable for Malaysians.

“We believe in the importance of giving back to society and want to offer easier ownership.

“Malaysians should have the opportunity to live in homes of high quality with good accessibility.

“We also take pride in making our homes more affordable and believe it is important for every citizen to own a home,” he said.

UEM chief marketing officer Kenny Wong said the offer was not to be missed since it offers potential houseowners a wonderful opportunity.

“The offer is one that gives you affordable ownership of large and luxurious property in a gated community,” Wong added.

This promotion runs for a limited time only, starting from Aug 6 onwards on a first-come-first-served basis.
