(The Star) KSL eyes RM7mil sales from new hotel in JB

JOHOR BARU: KSL Hotel and Resort targets RM7mil in sales this year from its new branch, KSL Hot Spring Resort @ Daya, which has started full operations.

KSL Hotel and Resort Johor Bahru marketing and sales director Siti Falisha Sheikh Zubir said the new branch is the first hotel in Malaysia to offer hot spring facilities.

She said the hot water is sourced from a hot spring in Jasin, Melaka and is treated to maintain its natural mineral content.

Construction of the 20-storey hotel began in 2016 and was fully completed last month on a 2.4ha site, she said, adding the 308 rooms include superior, deluxe, premier and executive suites.

“We target Singaporeans and staff of private companies nearby, civil servants and operators of other theme parks or hotels who wish to use this hotel for a rest stop,” she told reporters after its official opening here yesterday. — Bernama

Siti Falisha said the hotel is strategically located 16km from the Senai International Airport and 8km from the Johor Baru city centre.

“We provide a shuttle bus service to IKEA Tebrau, Aeon Jusco Tebrau and Bandar Dato’ Onn as well as KSL City Mall and the Dinosaur Alive water theme park, so it is strategically located for families.

“We want to see it not just as hotel for business people but also for rest and recreation,” she added. — Bernama
