(The Star) Ekovest plans to revamp business segments

KUALA LUMPUR: Ekovest Bhd is looking to restructure its business segments in order to have a more balanced contributions to the group’s revenue from them in the next five years.

Managing director Tan Sri Lim Keng Cheng said for the financial year ending June 30, 2018, the group aimed to increase its property segment's contribution to 30% from around 10%-15% currently.

He said the construction and engineering company has operated the businesses across three segments construction, property development and toll operation.

“Our focus will remain on the construction segment next year as we have secured a RM5bil job which will remain healthy and is able to provide earning visibility for the next four to five years,” he told reporters after the company’s AGM here yesterday.

For the toll operation and other segments, which currently stood at 15%-20%, Lim said, Ekovest was looking to increase the portion to about 30% in the years to come. — Bernama
