(The Star) Country Garden to proceed with Forest City second stage

GELANG PATAH: Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd (CGPV) is going ahead with its RM1.2bil second-stage development of the Forest City project.

The second phase will add almost 809.37ha to Forest City, where landmarks such as three 18-hole golf courses and a five-star, 306-room hotel will be situated.

CGPV chief strategy officer Dr Yu Runze said the second stage is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2018.

“With the second stage of the Forest City development in the pipeline, we are on track to deliver the desired development goals of Forest City, which is a place for people to work, live, play and thrive,” he added.

Yu was speaking at a press conference after attending a forum on the emerging attractions and business opportunities in Iskandar at the Forest City sales gallery here on Tuesday.

He pointed out that the second phase involved education, healthcare and tourism facilities, where one of the three golf courses would be designed by legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Nicklaus II.
